Talented filmmaker (and former program student!) Kara Henderson and Ma Ka Hana Ka ʻIke won a national award from Profiles in Caring—a 4-time Emmy-award winning television show broadcast on over 100 stations in the U.S. and globally.

Hawaiʻi Governor Linda Lingle recently announced that Ma Ka Hana Ka ʻIke has been honored by a "Governor's Innovation Award" from the State for the month of January.
