Ku`i Thursdays

Through careful planning and active outreach, our Kuʻi Thursdays are nearly always filled—from the moment sessions began at noon, all the way to late afternoon and, sometimes, into the evening ... In the past year, we steamed nearly 10,000 pounds of kalo (taro); had over 470 participants, from keiki (children) to community members; and served 24 kupuna (elders) weekly through Kupuna Kuʻi, in which our students kuʻi (pound) kalo then deliver the paʻi ʻai to any kupuna unable to come kuʻi for themselves.
