Ku‘i Curriculum

Our Malama Haloa (Kuʻi) program is also working toward building our educational lessons to create a curriculum that is academically fitting and rigorous, culturally empowering, and flexible enough for formal and non-formal educators to incorporate into their classes. With four different itineraries for trips to the loʻi (taro patches), including activities teachers can use in their classes, our vision is to merge state and national standards with our organization's mission of teaching our youth in a way that makes sense to them.
