Malama Haloa in the Community

Our new Malama Haloa program is expanding its reach—staff and apprentices have been sharing their poi-pounding knowledge with the public at local events, such as at this year's Sarah Joe Regatta, where they guided 38 “students” of all ages to pound kalo (taro) and take home their own paʻi ʻai.
