Learning to Make Pohaku Kuʻi ʻAi

Youth involved in our Kuʻi Program recently learned how to make their own pohaku kuʻi ʻai, poi-pounding stones. Our kids then took the papa kuʻi ʻai (poi-pounding boards) out of the fishpond, where they had been curing in the saltwater since our Fall workshop. Students are now working on finishing their boards to prepare them for use!
